Preparing potato skins is quite easy. Although it feels intimidating, but once you do it, the worst part is the waiting for the potatoes to cook. Below is the step by step photo on how to prepare potato skins since I will be sharing with you a recipe that use them…
Slice the potatoes in half lengthwise and use a spoon/knife to cut the rim of each half.
Please keep the insides of the potato since we will be making something out of it. Put it in the container and freeze.
4 pieces or more Russett potatoes or Idaho potatoes, scrubbed clean
4 tbsp canola oil
salt an pepper to taste
Preheat oven at 400 F. Scrub and clean potatoes and brush it with oil, then drench with enough salt and pepper. Bake for 45 minute or until they are tender when you poke it with a fork. Slice the potatoes in half lengthwise and use a spoon/knife to cut the rim of each half and gently scoop out the insides. Keep the insides for I will share to you a recipe for this/or you can throw it.
Keep the potato insides if you like since we are making another dish for it.
